La historia sucede entre los años de 2608 y 2619 en el planeta tierra.
Habla de un joven estudiante de la academia militar de segundo terra. Quien estudia para ser un oficial militar pues ya es muy común en esos tiempos.
A lo largo de la historia una Nave elite llega a la tierra con estudiantes Sangheili, los cuales van a la tierra para completar su formación como comerciantes, al estudiar relaciones humanas.
Para ello, cada uno de los jóvenes sangheili es enviado a una Salon escolar distinto. Donde serán juntados con un humano guía, quien les ayudara y responderá sus dudas.

Logan no se lleva muy bien con sus compañeros de clase… así que para torturarlo; en su salón votan por que el sea el guía de Ixe.
Ixe es una Sangheili muy acaudalada, tiene un carácter demasiado fuerte pues es obstinada y orgullosa, terca y decidida en sus acciones y sus 8 doncellas le acompañan casi a todos lados.
En un principio Logan se niega totalmente a ser guía de la Sangheili, pero al ver sus calificaciones comprometidas, se rinde y decide llevarse bien con Ixe.
Es entonces cuando salen de paseo por la ciudad, visitan parques, museos, (podría hacer un capitulo donde visiten el museo de la humanidad) restaurantes, teatros y toda referencia cultural posible.
Con el tiempo que pasan juntos llegan a tolerarse y se hacen amigos, también sucede que Ixe deja de pasar tiempo con sus compañeros Sangheili y Logan por su parte también deja de ver a sus amigos
